Despite the cold nights, the weather lately has been sunny and warm.  At times even hot.

This seems to have brought out a large number of birds that we see daily, passing the deck or on our way around the property.

While most of the regulars are here, we also seem to have some new visitors.

Here’s a few recent bird sightings.

Eastern Spinebill

Acanthorhynchus tenuirostris

A new arrival for us in 2017…  or at least we did not see them before that.

;

Laughing Kookaburra

Dacelo novaeguineae

A family of Kookaburras live in the forest just of the deck.  We see them and hear them every day.
