Today we continued to plant out the South Gully on our path to returning it to a Rainforest state.
Weather and lack of rain have slowed us down a little, but with showers predicted for a few weeks we can get on with the planting.
We had a visit from our friends John and Annie today and it was great to catch up and show them our place on this particular hot Sunday.
But Annie confirmed for us something that we had feared from when we first discovered it..
One of the issues we have across our property is that fun-loving ‘weed’ Lantana (Lantana camara). It is quite rampant in the gullys, and is spreading down the mountain and across all our hills.
So tackling the problem was a big and immediate issue for us once we had surveyed much off the property. Dealing with it meant a little investigation and research as to the best ways to….
