The Gutter is on! – 5th November 2019
This was a first-time for us with the gutters.
I have fixed them, cut them and broken gutters before, but I had never made one from scratch.
This was a first-time for us with the gutters.
I have fixed them, cut them and broken gutters before, but I had never made one from scratch.
The final sections of our major wall construction are due for completion… and then that will be the end!
Just two sections left to complete….
With the Nursery stairs in place we can fix and level off the top level of the Nursery.
A little fill and a little mulch tidied things up perfectly.
This week we set out to rescue the South Path wall – The first wall we built.
After suffering damage from multiple torrential storms and downpours it has started to fail in a serious way.
With the Compost Wall finished, we set about building our new large Compost bins. The fun part was always going to be the digging the 8 post hole needed to make the bin.
The ground here is like rock!
It’s finished!
At long last we have the Compost Wall finished and complete. Just a little landscaping to do.
We really want to get this walled finished!
Just one post hole and about 10 sleepers and we will be done.
We have had some delays in the last few months that have stopped us completing the last of the wall that runs behind our main tank and along the western side of the hill.
But it was time we got stuck into it again and got it finished.
As part of our ongoing water security measures we had new water tanks installed at the shed-level last year.
5 x 2000 litre modular tanks were installed on the southern side of the shed. One of the only pieces of ‘flat land’ we own.
