Wedgies visit again – 28th May 2016
We had our local Wedge-tailed Eagles visit us again today. This time they were off the deck and only just above us, giving us a great view of their flight and antics.

We are incredibly fortunate to be often surrounded by birds in the trees that surround our house. They are beautiful, entertaining, a joy to listen to and fascinating to watch.
Here is just a snippet of what we saw and shot on this Sunday morning.
We are very lucky to have lots of resident Pretty-faced(Whiptail) Wallabies – Macropus parryi – that live and feed around the house and property.
At times there are mobs of more than ten at a time, congregating and feeding close to the house.
As we cleared and dug out one of the garden terraces behind the house we had a visit from a very weird looking local.
The picture above is a Mountain Katydid
We had seen a bit of wildlife around the house since we arrived, and today we got a glimpse of the wallabies that also call our place home.
