Removing the big White Cedar – 30th May 2019
We have a big White Cedar(Melia azedarach) on the Plot level and it has been a PITA since we got here. Beautiful tree, but it does not work where it is.
So it’s for the chop!

We still have some non-native tree on the property, but are slowly removing them all.
Among those are the big Jacaranda and the similar sized Poinciana.
Both these need a chop back as they are very shady.
The “Plot Level” is just below the house to our western side. It is dominated by two large trees that are present.
A ‘Leichardt Bean’ – Cassia brewsterii, and a ‘White Cedar’ – Melia azedarach
We love the Cassia, but the White Cedar is becoming ‘weedy’ as it drops hundreds of seeds each year and these appear in our gardens and veg plots.
