Each time we finish one of our construction jobs, new jobs appear as a consequence. The old ‘one things leads to another’.
With the compost wall finished it is now time to deal with some of the issues across the orchard and the adjoining areas. Today we cut a new path below the Grey Water filter, and dealt with some left over Palm trunks.

Under our north-facing deck ‘tin’ roof it can get a bit hot.

With almost 30 mm of rain in the last 24 hours, our top tanks are overflowing.
This was the first test of the new top water tank overflow system we set up recently.

Today we got the finals touches done to the new Banana Bed.
With a bit of luck our bananas will now thrive and give us a few bunches to enjoy.

Just in front of the new Compost Bins is the old Banana stand. It has been here for a long time and occasionally pops a bunch of bananas.
So we are going to keep it, and give it a better bed to grow in.

With the Compost Wall finished, we set about building our new large Compost bins. The fun part was always going to be the digging the 8 post hole needed to make the bin.
The ground here is like rock!

We have had some delays in the last few months that have stopped us completing the last of the wall that runs behind our main tank and along the western side of the hill.
But it was time we got stuck into it again and got it finished.
